The Bible reveals the seriousness of sin in that it is universal. It tells us in Romans 3:23 that "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." And the result or consequence of sin is also universal - "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." So, I think we can all agree that sin is a real problem. The love of sin is a problem; the practice of sin is a problem; the state or depth of sin is a problem; the power of sin is a problem; and the consequence of sin is a definite problem.
